It has become traditional for Lancaster City supporters to vote across social media platforms to name our Player of the Month. However, for March 2024, a decision has been made within the club.

Every single player who has appeared for the Dolly Blues in March deserves enormous credit and praise. Against the backdrop of some difficult circumstances off the pitch, playing on a series of very heavy pitches and sometimes through pain, each player pulling on a Lancaster City shirt has performed admirably.

There have been some excellent performances in March, notably Charlie Barnes battling through the pain barrier at Ashton United, Charlie Bailey earning three points at home to Basford and Nic Evangelinos' superb strike away at Guiseley.

However, with the support of our Directors and Chairman, for March 2024 we are naming Niall Cowperthwaite as our Player of the Month. As many will be aware, Niall has not only played out of position for the team, he has dealt with personal circumstances with dignity and led fundraising for Abigail's Footsteps charity on Non League Day.
