Ben Hudson stars as Lancaster City earn their first point under caretaker boss Craig Stanley.

Lancaster started of the game brightly playing a high pressure on North
Ferriby, not allowing them a moments rest.

Early on, Tom Kilifin thought he was through on goal when he was played
in beautifully by Dugdale as he hit the bar, but it was ruled offside.

North Ferriby were keen to remind Lancaster they were in this game and
had a couple of half chances themselves.

City, however, were very calm and composed at the back with Hudson
dictating the play.

The first big chance came twenty minutes in when Dugdale drove the ball
into the far post where Kilifin headed down and wide.

Ben Hudson had a big chance go begging himself, heading wide from a
corner shortly after.

Half-time: Lancaster City 0-0 North Ferriby United.

The first half provided few chances but Lancaster with the better of
those.

City picked up the second half where they left off and Paul Dugdale must
have though his spectacular long-range strike was dipping in only for it
to just skim wide.

Shortly after Dugdale had a free kick from a similar range and, almost
identical, dipped a shot just wide of the top corner.

Lancaster kept pressing the visitors, but it was becoming apparent that
the finishing touch was lacking in the final third.

North Ferriby were still looking dangerous on the counter and had the
games best chance with half an hour to go when Forrester slammed a
strike of the underside of the crossbar.

Lancaster got away with that one but responded with a counter of their
own when McLean put a wonderfully swung ball to the far post with
Blinkhorn running in but it goes inches wide.

The remainder of this match became very end to end, blinking was not
advised.

North Ferriby came forward with Forrester again, this time saved by
Aiden Stone.

Lancaster then fired straight back with their best chance of the match
when McLean bombed down the left wing and put it on a plate for
Blinkhorn on the edge of the six-yard-box only for his effort to be
saved by Exall.

The last ten minutes became very nip and tuck and neither team could
break the other down; ultimately the lack of a final ball being the
downfall for both sides.

Full-time: Lancaster City 0-0 North Ferriby United.
