Guiseley
The West Yorkshire side have had a varied start to the 2023/24 campaign, after starting the season with a 1-1 draw away at Hyde united, a home victory has been sandwiched between defeats against Whitby Town and Gainsborough Trinity.

After relegation to the Northern Premier League last season, their first season at Step 3 would see them finished 13th and have brought in several new names to see that final position improve, including Liam Tongue and Tom Pratt from Hyde United, Tom Denton from Alfreton and Brad Wade from Southport, who is now the new number 1 after Cam Mason returned to National League North side Curzon Ashton.

Lancaster City
After what was described as "the best performance" in his time at the Giant Axe, Mark Fell will be looking to meet his target set at the beginning of the season, a minimum 10 points from on what on paper looked a difficult start. Goals from Simon Grand, Jacob Holland-Wilkinson and the seemingly unstoppable Jake Connelly secured the 3 points and the 3-0 win over promotion favourites, Macclesfield.

The last time the sides faced was the final game of the 2022/23 season. Guiseley went into half time 1-0 up thanks to a goal from Ethan Kachosa, but goals from David Norris and Charlie Bailey ensured the Dolly Blues finished last season with 3 points.
