Marine:
The Mariners have been members of the Northern Premier League Premier Division since the 2022/23 campaign after they beat Runcorn Linnets in the Division One West Play Off Final. The Merseyside team also endured a historic FA Cup campaign in 2020/21 as they progressed through seven rounds before facing Premier League Tottenham Hotspur in the third round proper.
Last season, Sol Solomon was the clubs top goal scorer with 13 goals in the League. His goals helped project his side to a ninth place finish and only seven points off the play offs. Last time out saw Neil Young and his side suffer a 2-1 defeat to promotion pushing Macclesfield. A goal from Finley Sinclair-Smith a positive.
Lancaster City:
A 14 day wait for a fixture could prove to beneficial for the Dolly Blues as key players, including captain Andrew Teague, could make their return. Jamie Mellon is still a doubt as he recovers from his injury.
The Dolly Blues will come up against a familiar face on Saturday as Nathan Woodthorpe now occupies a place in the opposition ranks. The defender spent the final half of the season in LA1 and made a good impression. Since then, Woodthorpe signed for Chester before being loaned to the Mariners.
