Guiseley:
The Lions form over the last five games has seen them win two of their outings. Those wins for Andy Welsh’s side came against top of the league Radcliffe and Whitby Town. However, a defeat in the West Riding County Cup followed a defeat in the League to Ilkeston Town which ended an unbeaten home run which began in January. Jameel Ible scored the only goal for the hosts after Tom Cursons opened the scoring and netted the winner late on.

In the reverse fixture, the two sides played out a two all draw at the Giant Axe with Leigh Whelan and Tom Pratt gaining a two goal advantage for the Lions before Nic Evangelinos and Charlie Bailey ensured both sides left with a point.

Lancaster City:
Lancaster City make the trip to Guiseley following Non-League Day defeat against Marine. An admirable first half entertained a season high crowd at the Giant Axe but it was Marine who left with the points following second half goals scored by Bobby Grant and Sol Solomon.

Chris Willcock welcomed back Jamie Mellen from injury against Marine as a substitute and Lancaster have permitted Andre Mendes to depart this week to Bury following the arrival of Tom Stewart.

Lancaster City will be hoping to continue their fine form against Saturday’s hosts as the Dolly Blues are unbeaten in their last five (two wins, three draws). The last win for City came in April 2023 when David Norris and Charlie Bailey scored within ten minutes of each other to secure a two goals to one victory.

Local Facilities:
We were contacted by the Pottingshed in Guiseley, they offer 20% off food and drink to away supporting fans. They are end of the cobbles outside the train station, a ten minute walk away from Nethermoor Park. They also helpfully asked us to pass on that if coming by train please be aware that there are no trains from Shipley to Guiseley however there are bus replacement in place or you might find it easier to travel to Leeds then back out to Guiseley.
