Basford United:
Basford United head into the new campaign after narrowly avoiding relegation. The Ambers were busy in the transfer market ahead of tomorrow’s fixture as goalkeeper Harvey Woodward and the returning Stern Irvine put pen to paper ahead of the upcoming season.

Last term, Basford United finished 18th on 37 points, pipping Bradford (Park Avenue) to relegation by seven points.

Lancaster City:
The Dolly Blues ended their pre-season schedule with a victory over League Two side Accrington Stanley. A goal from newly signed Harrison Beeden was followed by Dom Lawson’s winner after the visitors took the lead. Lancaster City head into the season with a plethora of new signings, including Harrison Beeden. Chris Dagnall, Dylan Moonan, and Marcus Cusani will also look to make their competitive debuts for Lancaster City whilst Jack Byrne aims to impress on his second spell at the Giant Axe.

The last time the two sides met came in March. Lancaster City took all three points courtesy of Charlie Bailey’s 25th minute strike. In the reverse fixture, Lancaster City fell to defeat despite piling on the pressure.
