Lancaster City
The victory at Nethermoor last Saturday, alongside an improved performance was just what the doctored ordered after a disappointing January, alongside the 2-2 draw last time out at the Giant Axe gives Chris Willcock a solid platform to build on over the next 2 home games, before difficult fixtures against 2 of the top 3 to round off the month.
Lewis Mansell's brace puts him in 2nd place in the overall goalscoring charts, only Aaron Bennett is above him with 1 goal more. It has been another week on to see if Bennett and Dylan Thompson will be available for selection as we are looking to do the double over the Red Rebels for the first time ever.
FC United of Manchester
Mark Beesley's side will be visiting the Giant Axe unbeaten in their last 4 games, with 3 of them ending in a draw. They required a 91st minute equaliser last Saturday at home to Hyde United to keep that run ongoing. An upturn in fortunes has seen FC United sit 12th in the table, 6 points off the relegation places and just 1 point behind the Dolly Blues.
The front 2 of Adam Le Fondre and Jordan Buckley, both goalscorers in the reverse fixture in October have score 12 and 10 goals respectively.
Head to Head
Goals from Dom Lawson, Lewis Mansell and Lewis Coulton gave us the 3 points last time out.
