City's strike partnership of Jordan Connerton and Louis Mayers was together for the first time on Saturday with both forwards finding the net in an impressive victory for Phil Brown's side.
Connerton set Mayers through on goal in the 14th minute, the latter coolly finding the bottom corner. Connerton converted Jacob Gregory's low cross from close range to double City's lead before Jamie Rainhill was sent off for Glossop for a second bookable offence.
Connerton wrapped up the points in the second half after Oliver Crolla played the striker in on goal to round the keeper and hit home.
