City of Liverpool FC
Founded in 2015 and currently under the reign of Paul McNally, The Purps ply their trade in the Northern Premier League Division One West. Last term, City of Liverpool FC finished 12th in the league on 46 points. The Purps have battled through a rough start to the current campaign as they sit in 19th position with four points to their name.
Cup runs are a much more pleasant viewing however. In their first qualifying test, McNally and his side dispatched fellow Division One West team 1874 Northwich three goals to one. In the second qualifying round, Witton Albion were the visitors to the Berry Street Garage Stadium where they came away empty handed after a two goals to one defeat. A brace from Callum Schorah had the victory secured before half time.
Lancaster City
Mark Fell’s side will head into the fixture knowing that bouncing back from recent bad results is key.
The Dolly Blues will be without some key men for the first fixture between the sides as Andrew Teague, Jamie Mellen and Nic Evangelinos are all sidelined. The quality in the side should still shine through though as a returning Christian Sloan will be pushing for a start following his return from injury last Saturday.
