Now in his fourth spell with the club, Paul Jarvis is one of the most versatile and dependable members of the squad. 'Jarvo' first joined the Dolly Blues in the summer of 2009. Scoring on debut against Prescot Cables he netted 15 goals in 57 appearances in the 2009/10 season.Departing City in February 2011 to sign for AFC Fylde, he would then go on to have a successful 5 year spell at Chorley alongside City captain Andrew Teague. His second spell with the Dolly Blues was on a month loan from Chorley during the 2016/17 title winning season before re-signing permanently in December 2017.
A diagnosis of testicular cancer in May 2018 and recurrences in 2019 and 2020 limited playing time and ultimately cut short his third spell. Following a period of recovery Jarvo returned to training last summer to earn a place in Mark Fell's squad for the 2022/23 season, during which he passed 150 appearances for the club. Paul Jarvis is an inspiration to everybody at Lancaster City.
