All of the senior captains have now been elected and we are pleased to announce the following appointments:
1 X1 – Harvey Fitton
2 X1 – Chris Beales
Sunday XI - Hayden Simm
Ladies - Georgia Simm
Hoping to improve on a 2024, Harvey has again stepped up to captain the 1st XI. Harvey did an outstanding job on and off the field and will no doubt be looking towards the youth at the club again. Harvey selected 8 under 16's during the 2024 season and very much backs the club policy of promoting youth in the right environment. Fingers crossed Harvey can also return to his 2023 personal form with bat and ball.
Chris Beales is the new 2nd XI skipper for 2025 and we would like to thank outgoing captain Steve Armstrong for all his efforts and look forward to him supporting Chris where he can. Bealey has become a massive part of Lancaster and his match winning six vs Longridge in the Lancs cup will be talked about for a long time. A superb bowler and popular figure with everyone at the club we are sure Chris can push the seconds towards success again.
Hayden Simm is the Sunday XI captain. This was a role he did for some of last year while we shared it around our youthful Sunday XI used very much as a developmental XI. We are sure that will be the case again and it will be good experience for Hayden to be a senior figure even at such a young age.
Lastly after a hugely successful 2024 campaign, Georgia Simm will again lead the Ladies. This team is going from strength to strength and have been working hard again all winter to ensure more improvement. Georgia has added more players to the squad and with the addition of hardball into the fold, it should be another fantastic season for the Ladies
