The Larks travelled to Salisbury more in hope than expectation and defied their league position to come away with all 3 points.
The home side went ahead against the run of play around 20 minutes in when a cross wasn't cleared and Stuart Green beat Shaun Semmens' attempts to save it. Up to that point the Larks had matched their hosts with Cory Simpson, Joe Tumelty, Greg Peel and even centre-half Mike Baker all having chances to score.
Then events took an interesting turn when the Salisbury keeper saw red for taking Cory down as he ran full pelt towards goal. A midfielder went in goal and the Larks scented blood.
It was actually Cory who equalised for the Larks: the Whites' stand-in keeper fumbled a catch and the ball slid past him to make it 1-1 shortly before half-time.
The rest of the game was fairly open with plenty of passing football. Shaun Semmens pulled off a couple of fine saves when required to. Having an extra man finally made a difference when Greg Peel's hard work fed sub George King who fired a great strike into the far corner of the net. Thereafter the Larks, with man of the match Mike Baker at the heart of their defence, held firm to mark up a momentous win against big-spending opposition.
