But not the right way

HI DE HI CAMPERS!! That's about as cheery as this match report gets folks.

After the cracking start to the season, the Super 2s confidence was high and this took them down to Biggar in expectant mood. It was back to the same routine unfortunately for the management of the Super 2s with a cracking squad on paper 24 hours before the fixture – then it was SMS City. As a result the squad was depleted of 5 guys for various reasons which resulted in more reshuffles than a Westminster cabinet!!

Now if the Super 2s had been playing cricket then the result would have been in their favour – 7 wickets for 83 runs is pretty impressive. HOWZAT!!

Or if you looked at the scoreboard at the end of the game, you could have mistaken it for an advert for the local radio station – LISTEN TO BIGGAR FM ON 83.7.

Unfortunately it was a game of rugby and the Super 2s were on the wrong end of a drubbing. It wasn't as one way traffic as the score line suggests with the Super 2s playing some good rugby at times and Rick McKenna got on the score sheet again. The penalty count for the whole game from a Lasswade point of view was only 5, which ant team would be proud of. Although the score line was slipping away from Lasswade the team showed guts and determination and remained positive throughout and made Biggar work hard for the tries they scored.

There are points of contention for Lasswade which collectively the team need to work on and these were openly discussed after the game. Still remaining positive, the guys tried to resolve the issues that were brought forward by the team. There is a lot of room for improvement which all the guys admitted and they all vowed to work TOGETHER and move forward from this game. It is now history and next week sees the team visit Raeburn Place to take on Edinburgh Accies.

CAN WE ALL GET UP TO TRAINING PLEASE AND START PUTTING THE PLAN INTO ACTION
