The Law have been without doubt one of the more entertaining teams to watch this season, with all of their previous 6 games going to the final play, and the law registering bonus points in each game. Therefore it was no surprise that there was a request from the tv schedulers to move kick off to 1pm to allow fans the chance to catch the Law v Old Amplefordians and the Autumn Internationals.

The heavy rain which lasted most off the morning cleared just before kick off, but left the woodies pitch greasy. The Law started the stronger as they had in their previous games and soon got rewards as their larger pack drove a classic Anvil for James Thomas to dive over for his fifth try of the season. The Laws accuracy was good despite the conditions and good play in midfield moved the law in to the Old As 22, where the ball was switch blind to Thomas again who cantered over for his and the Laws second.

Old As responded with some pressure of their own playing tight around the ruck and the law tackling too high conceding ground. Their centre slipped a tackle 15 meters out and coasted over to open their account. The Law did not let this disrupt their game and continued much in the same vein for the remainder of the half with good running and decision making sending Robin Eager and Ian Adams over before half time for the Laws try bonus point. However the try scoring wasn't finished for that half as for the second week inns row the law conceded a soft try right on the stroke of half time, making the score 24 - 10 at the half.

After conceding at the stroke of the half the next score was key to put some distance between the Law and Old As. Indiscipline and a poor exits from the visitors gave the Law a lineout just outside the their 22. The law executed a fine lineout despite the conditions and set up an imperious rolling maul which rolled and built momentum allowing Rick Armstrong to dot down for the Laws fifth try. Following this the Law again took their foot off the pedal and allowed the visitors back into the game. They played a very tight pick and go game which the Law didn't work out well enough and built pressure on the law scoring two more unconverted tries. The pressure kept coming and newly onto the field Alex Spurgeon was the first of two lawman to see yellow taking the cumulative effects of Law indiscipline. Old As kept coming and Dan 'Canister' How received the teams second yellow card for slowing the ball right on the goal line. The OAs fifth try came in the last ten minutes taking the score to 31-25 and the as the clock ticked down they were hunting another converted try to steal the match. It looked as though this was going to come as with time up they were camped on the Laws line, and they got the ball over the line only to be held up in goal and the referee blow for the final whistle! Much to the delight and relief of the home players and fans.

It was the Laws third bonus point win on the bounce, however second half performances need to improve to put teams away. Rightly justifying the early kick off and tag as the most entertaining team in the world, this win moved the Law to second in the league.
