The Law moved their home game to Marble Hill this weekend and continued their unbeaten record at the alternative home ground.

The Law had a stellar first half performances where they dominated the possession and territory stats managing to notch up the 4 try bonus point before half time. First on the score sheet was Sam Brewer who crashed over after a tap penalty. Tom Jones kicked the conversion, he would go on to kick 6 out of 7 conversions in the match. The Law were making real headway with hard forward runners off of the half backs gaining yards up the pitch, Josh Emmett would finish off a succession of these runs as he barged through for the next try. The kick off following this was caught well by James Doran who set off on rangey run through a number of defenders and looked set to go the distance at one point until some good cover tackling brought him down. This gain of ground plus a number of fast rucks led to an mismatch on the blindside which Tom Maclean took advantage of, scoring the third having assisted the first two. The restart was again returned in ferocious fashion Sam Brewer breaking through the centres getting himself one on one with the full back, Jones however was on his shoulder and received a well timed pass to cruise under the posts.
Emmett continued the onslaught with his second try (his fourth at this ground in two games) which was scored from a pick and go from the base of a ruck close to the opposition line.

Five tries up and all was rosy for the Law Society however Old Amps were not satisfied with just being spectators and really awoke in latter stages of the first half, a series of line breaks by their back row and centres put them in a good attacking position and after several phases they scored just before the break.

The Law suffered a period of ill discipline after half time which saw Tom Jones receive a yellow card after an accumulation of penalties. In this 14 man period Old Amps scored again and were really putting the pressure on the once dominant Law side. The Law however managed to ride out the rest of the sin bin period and when back to full compliment turned the screw to score 2 more tries in the final 20 minutes. The first of which was a second for Sam Brewer who received a well timed pass from stand in stand off Angus Simpson to bust through to score from the 22. The final try of the day came for Christian Thomas who was on the end off an offload from Joe Maycock after a raging run. Christian, the youngest player in the squad, signing off his season his style as he departs for South America.

A strong win for the Law puts them in contention to get in to the top half of the table with 3 matches to go in the season.
