Angry owls slay Warriors
By Richard Wilkinson
In a meeting of the winter league finalists the Angry owls once again dominated this clash showing real courage to fight back from an early deficit
This was a eagerly awaited fixture as the Owls have faced the Warriors in two winter league play off finals and had won both times.
It didn't look like the Owls would be able to match their winter dominance as the Warriors raced into a two try lead after only two minutes one after intercepting the ball from Adi Tallon who threw a long pass which the warriors pacy centre eagerly gathered. This was a blip for Tallon who went on to dominate the mid field along with half back partner James Howard. The Warriors then extended this to three tries whilst the Angry Owls clawed one back with Tallon dummying his way over. The Owls began their fight back turning round at half time with a 4-3 lead. The Owls then went on to dominate the second half with some scintilating rugby that was simply too much for the Warriors who became increasingly frustrated throwing a couple of intecept passes of their own.
The final result was 9 - 4.
