New Vice Chairman Joshua Harris "very excited" about his new role on the committee

Congratulations on being voted as the Vice Chairman of Leeds Trinity FC. Are you excited about having such a big responsibility when the next season starts?
Thanks mate means a lot, I’m very excited to have been elected for this role as I’m looking forward to what it’ll bring.

At the same time, Nathaniel Wilson-Fleming has also been voted as the next social secretary. Are you pleased to be working with him?
I am absolutely gassed that Nat has been elected onto the committee, as were living together next year we already have good connections with one another. But I am looking forward to working with everyone on the committee I think we have a good team set up for a promising future next year.

What kind of tasks will you have to do as the Vice Chairman?
I think I will be one of the main links not only within the committee but also between other members of TASC and the committee.

Have you had similar roles anywhere in the past? And if so, do you think this experience will help you to settle into your new job on the committee better?
I mean I’ve not done anything to this extent other than things like being a supervisor at a part time job, so I think a few skills will transfer over but I feel I already have the fundamentals on lock.

What will you be hoping to achieve as the Vice Chairman in the near future?
I’ll be looking to work closely alongside our chairman Bobbie to bring in some interesting sponsors and opportunities for us all at the club, looking down new avenues to make the footballing experience in TASC as best as possible without revealing too much.

Last campaign you played for Leeds Trinity FC’s third team. Has your time playing for the university been successful so far?
Well I have met some absolute class lads and had a proper good time, so I would say that’s successful in my opinion.

What would you say has been the best fixture you have started in for The Thirds so far?
“I prefer not to speak” would be a good phrase to cover that question but there have been a few interesting games that I can say I have been a part of. But the first game I played for The Thirds for the season was against a York St. John team I came on as a centre half during the second half slightly nervous because we were level and I didn’t want to cost us the game, but we ended up scoring a late winner and managed to keep York from scoring to win the game.

What will you be working on to improve your skills for next season?
With regards to football I’ve been working a lot during lockdown so I’m hoping to fill the space of former social sec and club legend Jamie Heron’s spot I think, which would be a difficult task but that’s what’s in mind.
