Two super wins for Under 15 girls against Burton and Mansfield

Leek travelled to Burton for the 2nd of the 3 way festivals with Burton and Mansfield.

We were up first against Mansfield who beat us 17-5 last month. We started well with the forwards getting on top in set and loose play. This enabled a strong platform for Dunny to feed the new formation in the backs. After a settling in period the ball was moved wide for Holly to outpace Mansfield to score under the posts. Mansfield fought back and their super talented fly half scored the equaliser. We stayed calm and Jenny set up a backs move to put Holly in the corner for the winner.
Our last game was against the ever improving Burton team. Morgan was immense in the back row with Danielle making good yards and Katie having her best game of the season. The engine room of Lottie and Sammy coupled with props Abbie, Keira, Maddie and hooker Ava saw win many strikes against the head. Holly scored for the third time in the afternoon with Izzy running in from 20 metres after a great break by Jenny. Wingers Molly and Abby had plenty of ball and used it to the full.
A very pleasing afternoon of rugby with 3 well matched teams playing our great game to the full.

Well done to everyone involved

We play Bury/Burnley in the semi final in the cup which will be our biggest game of the season. The girls are on form and we wish them all the best.
