Great victory for Leek Under 18 girls

Very strong Leicestershire opposition overcome by strong play
Leek travelled to Lutterworth for first ever fixture together. The weather was horrific with driving rain and very strong winds making passing rugby a mockery. Leek started very strongly with good runs from Grace Wilson only to loose the ball in the ruck. The girls sorted this out and after many phases from both backs and forwards, Jenny opened the scoring with Holly converting. Lutterworth were playing with the wind and scored 2 trys from weak Leek defensive alignment. Leek took the lead again with Morgan finishing off drive after drive with Holly converting. Abby, Jenny and Morgan scored again in the 2nd half with Holly converting 1 try. Maddie had a stormer of a game winning many scrums against the head and Molly was a constant thorn in the oppositions side. Overall this was an excellent performance against the premier team in Leicestershire. The girls controlled the game and the mistakes made were all weather related. Thank you to Lutterworth for being excellent hosts and we look forward to playing them again later in the season.
