Leek welcomed Burton in a rearranged cup fixture which was played at Leek because of waterlogged pitches at Burton. Leek started quickly with Millie Hall making a great run to off load to Jenny who was in support as always. Burton then fought back but could not breach the improved Leek defence. Scrums were well contested but Katie and joint man of the match Sammy dominated the line outs. Two further scores with one conversion gave us a 17-0 lead. We discuss in the week our tackling technic and the girls took this on board making all their tackles keeping Burton at bay. Leah , the other joint man of the match, scored a strong try and Mille , making her debut at full back scored a cracker from long distance. A very difficult day to play rugby but both sides gave it their all.
