The winter sunshine welcomed Macclesfield under 12's to Leek on Sunday morning.
A 40 minute game was played with rolling substitutes been used.
Leek were quick to open the scoring with a great try to set the game up. 5-0
Macclesfield were a very well drilled team and pushed the Leek Lions hard but from a Macclesfield mistake the Leek lions pounced and extended their lead.10-0.
Substitutions were made and the game developed into a real battle, both sides trading runs and hard tackles. After some superb rugby the Macclesfield winger slipped Leeks defence and reduced the deficit.10-5.
Leek were unlucky not to regain their points advantage as they were judged to have run into touch. Again Leek pushed hard, this time they were rewarded by scoring a fantastic try with nearly all the backs been involved in the move.15-5.

Half time changes were made and again the play was a joy to watch as Leek opened up the game by scoring two quick tries.25-5
Again changes were made to ensure all the boys had a run. Macclesfield seemed to spot the chance and closed the gap with another great run by their tricky winger,and another try soon after. 25-15.
Leek Lions changed again and strengthened there team to ensure that all the hard work was not spoilt.
