Leek Town Academy student Stephen Mellor has had a week to remember with a selection in the NPL Football Academy's inter-league team and team of the year.

Mellor is the sole Leek representative in the NPLFA's inter-league squad for their showpiece game against Wigan Athletic and on Sunday evening in Barnsley he was named as one of the three midfielders in the team of the year after being selected by the coaches and staff at the NPLFA.
