"We have a very bright and eager set of young lads ready to go. The pre season has been very mixed and had its ups and downs, the downs in particular will prove more than positive experiences for the team".

"At Avengers Glynn and I like to break from the mould. There are no big heads in our team, there is complete openness and problems are dealt with head-on. We have a cracking team of parents ready to help. Any problems or issues are dealt with face to face, not behind the back".

"We are not Brazil U9's, we are Leek Town Avengers, where the team comes first".

The Avegers are also delighted to add ex-Shotfield Valiants player Charlie Taylor to the side.

Steve Lancaster said "Charlie has been very enthusiastic in training and the signs are that he will fit in very well. At the end of the day if he enjoys his football that is all Glynn and I want to see".

The Avengers kick off on Sunday at 11.30 am so come along and support us, win, lose, or draw it does not matter as the lads always smile and are thirsty for more.
