Leek Town under 7's and 8's were in action at the weekend with representatives from both sides playing in the Dougie Brown football Tournament at Birchall.

The Leek Branch team was made up of players from across the two age groups with players from Werrington Tigers,Norton Jaguars, and Leek Town joining forces.

Leek Branch did themselves proud on the day, and stayed undefeated in the group games and semi final only to miss out on a place in the final due to a penalty shootout.

There really was some great football on display from Leek and all of the games were played in great spirit in what was a thoroughly enjoyable occasion for all involved.

All of the boys should be very proud of themselves.
