On Easter Weekend a small group of people from Leek Town took on the challenge to drive the marathon journey around the 81 grounds of the Pitching In Northern Premier League, in aid of the Dougie Mac Hospice in Stoke and Leek Town Juniors.

The team of Dave Leese, Nigel Goldstraw, Anthony Goldstraw and Derek Goldstraw managed the journey in under 48hrs, arriving back at Harrison Park for the Easter Monday Bank Holiday clash with Kidsgrove Athletic.

£840 was raised, and will go towards funding ongoing palliative care in the North Staffordshire area, and more locally will be used to support the Wildcats & Mini Blues initiative at Harrison Park on Monday nights.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated and well done to the team who took on the mammoth task.
