Leek finished September with a comfortable win and top of the BETVICTOR Norther Premier League South East - with a total of 22 point from 9 games.
The Blues now enter October with four scheduled games, three of which are Cup games - the FA Cup, FA Trophy and Staffs Senior Cup. Subject to the results these may change and be added to as currently there are three home fixtures which need re-arranging - Spalding United, Carlton Town & Runcorn Linnets (Integro Cup).
The game against Kings Lynn will be first time that the Blues have reached this stage of the competition for 5 years - in 2014/15 Leek beat Boston United 2-0 at home before succumbing to Blyth Spartans in the fourth qualifying round 4-3 at home, this was a memorable season with Lee Casswell at the helm.
Kings Lynn play in the National League North - two steps above the Blues, and will go into the tie as firm favourites as they sit 3rd in their respective division. But we all know that FA Cup ties at Harrison Park can be magical and Leek Town have nothing to lose and will relish their underdog status.
To publicise the match another poster has been produced and its a belter - based on the Killers Hot Fuss - we hope you like and it is available to download and share below.
Despite the distance Kings Lynn are well supported and are expected to bring a good following, we all hope that the Blues army will come out in force on Saturday to support the players and management team.
Please get down early to take in the atmosphere - please note that as this is a Cup game season tickets and the Junior Members will need to pay the normal admission price, but Under 8s are still free.
