The former Macclesfield player had intimated that he was staying with Leek despite Castle putting in the required seven days notice of approach but on Thursday night he changed his mind and informed Castle manager John Diskin that he wanted to join them.
Diskin was delighted with his new signing and he went straight into the squad for the home game against Gresley and Millar repaid his faith by scoring the opening goal after just 15 minutes of Castle's 3-1 win.
Diskin said “ He will add something to the side giving us options in the way we play and it is also a great opportunity for him to kick on and further his career in the game with regular football. He is a sensible lad who knows that there are no certainties in football.”
