For the next four Wednesdays, and for a block in March too, Leek Town will be hosting free adult-learning sessions to support parents with children who need help in developing their Maths skills.
On Wednesday November 15th, 22nd, 29th, and December 6th (all between 6-8pm), we are hosting Multiply Figure It Out sessions at the F Ball Community Stadium. These are aimed at adults looking to support their children with their Maths & their Maths homework.
These are FREE, really sociable adult learning sessions that will help you to brush up on key skills to help your children with their Maths homework and any relevant Maths tests or exams on the horizon.
All you have to do is to come to the stadium on those dates and you’ll find a caring, positive environment where you’ll be given great ideas, help and support to help your children with their Maths – you’ll also find tea and coffee, plus a lovely warm room, too!
An experienced, friendly, and super-positive Maths lecturer, Julie Pettitt, will be working alongside you, these sessions were enjoyed immensely by all who attended last year. There are Junior teams training on the pitch a that time, so if you have a child attending those then please pop in, or even if you don’t, head down to the F Ball Community Stadium for these sessions.
Please come along with any questions that you may have and learn about:
Leek Town’s Marketing & Community Manager Anthony Bunn is delighted to be hosting the Multiply Figure It Out sessions….
Anthony commented “We are big on community initiatives at Leek Town, as we are far more than just a football club, and understand that we have a responsibility to our community to do our very best for it. That’s why we are always delighted and humbled to host events, meetings, and initiatives that benefit the people of Leek and surrounding areas. "
"The Multiply Figure It Out sessions are a fantastic way for adults to help their kids with Maths. As a father of three, and a father who himself is pretty clueless with Maths, I would have welcomed the chance to learn the skills to help my own kids with Maths back in the day. For the sessions to be free is fantastic, and I know that the people involved in this initiative are hugely passionate about it, and have a huge amount of experience and expertise. "
"With children having mock exams, tests, and even SATS and GCSE’s on the horizon, it’s a great chance to get some much-needed support in helping them to do their very best in such an important school subject.”
