Manager Steve Lancaster said "Today is a great example what can be done when people pull together. I am extremely grateful to the lads that helped out and the parents who participated, together with the team at Sainsburys and also to the generosity of the people of Leek".

"Our busy pre-season schedule continues tomorrow with a friendly at AFC Chesterton. The lads have had the benefit of the JCB tournament and friendlies against Leek Town Tigers, Leek Town U8, Waterhouses Wildcats, Blurton Arrows and Kidsgrove Athletic. Tomorrow will be a tough run out, but the lads will get another game under their belts.

There is also a friendly against HDFC Valiants, a return against Waterhouses and then the Trubshaw tournament before the season kicks in on 14 September".
