DO THEY MEAN US? CHASETOWN FC
This Tuesday (20th February 7.45pm) sees the team heading to Chasetown FC in the next round of the Staffordshire Senior Cup. The Scholars beat us at Boldmere St Michaels earlier in the season, before The Blues had our revenge winning the return home fixture in December. This will be a tough game for us, especially as we have a big local derby on Saturday.
The True Blue Army will assemble at?
Chasetown returned to their 3,000 capacity Scholars Ground in December 2023. They had been playing their home games at Boldmere St Michaels while their new 3G surface was being installed.
There are two routes by car: one involving the M6 and tolls and one using the B5013 (around Uttoxeter) which is a shorter route in mileage, but is often not really any quicker.
Address: The Scholars Ground, Church Street, Chasetown, Staffordshire WS7 3QL
How much to get in?
Chasetown’s prices were reduced in the last round against Hanley Town to £5 adults and £2 for concessions, and they are the same again.
What are they known as/Nickname(s)?
The Scholars, The Chase

How are they doing?
As I write this, Chasetown lie handily in 8th place in the league and just 3 points off the play offs. In the last round of the Senior Cup they easily disposed of Hanley Town 3-0, and are a strong team at home.
Their main man?
Jack Langston has 14 goals to his name already and is easily The Scholar’s leading scorer and main goal threat. He scored a late penalty in their last game at Clitheroe, and has a habit of netting against the Blues.
Their gaffer?
Mark Swann took over in February 2020, but was no stranger to Chasetown as he was previously a player, Reserve Team Manager, and First Team Assistant Manager.
