This Tuesday (31st October 7.45pm) sees The Blues heading to Vauxhall Motors, for a Halloween evening kick off. We are hoping for a large travelling contingent to cheer the lads on to what hopefully will be a spooktacular performance and a few ghouls, sorry, goals!

It’s around 57 miles from Leek by road:

• Take the M6.
• Exit M6 at junction 20a and keep left at the fork, follow signs for M56/N Wales/Chester/Runcorn and merge onto M56.
• Exit the M56 at junction 15 onto the M53 towards Ellesmere Port/Birkenhead.
• At junction 7, take the North Road/B5132 exit to Overpool/Whitby/Ind. Est
• Follow B5132 to Rivacre View

How are they doing?
As I write this, The Motormen lie in 18th place with three wins and ten points from their first ten matches. They are on the back of a very good win against Clitheroe - they then play us, and then Mossley – three home league games in a week.

Their gaffer?
In the last week, they appointed Danny Holmes as the club’s new First Team Manager. Holmes is an experienced coach around the North West, and as a player represented the likes of Tranmere Rovers, Newport County, AFC Fylde, and York City.
