DO THEY MEAN US? AVRO FC
This Saturday, 6th April 3pm, sees your Champions (sounds good, doesn’t it?) head up to Avro FC for our penultimate away game of a memorable season. Based in the Limeside area of Oldham, they play at the Vestacare Stadium. Avro were excellent at The F. Ball Community Stadium earlier in the season and will provide a stern test again.
I know we say it on a weekly basis, but the management and coaching team and players hugely appreciate your support. You’ve often turned away games into home games, and we’d love to see you there again in numbers and fine voice on Saturday.
The True Blue Army will assemble at?
Avro FC is around 38 miles away, and there are a few routes that you can take depending on traffic on the day. Probably the best is via the A523 and M60, although other options include the A53 route, and the A556/M56/M60 route.
Parking: There is a car park at the ground and some on-street parking on White Bank Road and the surrounding streets. Parking for opponent players and officials is located in the stadium car park. Disabled parking is also available in the ground and a blue badge must be presented and displayed.
Address: Avro Football Club, The Vestacare Stadium, White Bank Road, Greater Manchester, Oldham, OL8 3JH
We will be playing in our customary all orange kit #ORANJE

How are they doing?
Avro’s recent history is very impressive: They were promoted to Division One North of the North West Counties League in 2018, and their first season in the division saw them finish as runners-up, earning promotion to the Premier Division as one of the second placed clubs with the best points-per-game across the divisions. In 2022–23 they were runners-up in the Premier Division, qualifying for an inter-step play-off. They went on to beat Lincoln United 2–1 to earn promotion to Division One West of the Northern Premier League.
Avro currently sit in 11th place with 48 points from 34 games – and are handily placed 5 points from a play off place.
Their main man?
Kyle Hawley scored four goals at Trafford in their last game, so we will need to keep a close eye on Avro’s leading scorer on Saturday.
Their gaffer?
It was recently announced that Avro managers Alex Frost and Phil Edghill will be leaving the club at the culmination of this season due to extra work commitments caused by new jobs outside of the club. We wish them well.
