It’s been a tough start to the 25/26 Pitching In NPL campaign for the Blues with back to back defeats. Albeit against two teams who are likely to be setting the standard this season. Leek will have had little time to contemplate Tuesday evenings defeat with the short game week turnaround but getting the first 3 points of the season will definitely be the aim for the weekend.
Morpeth did not play midweek following their opening day home loss to Ilkeston, that game saw there Captain Jeffrey Henderson sent off. The Highwaymen will be looking to bounce back and regain some of the form that lead them to an 8th placed finish last season.

Morpeth Town
How are they doing?
Too early to say as they have only played once, but they were a tough side to play against last season.
Their Main Man
The Highwaymen will hope that Nic Bollado can resume where he left off last season, an impressive 17 goals last campaign helped Morpeth finish just shy of the play-offs. They will depend on his services even more so after seeing Jack Foelle depart for Hebburn Town.
Their Gaffer
Craig previously managed Seaham Red Star before leaving the club during the previous campaign. His playing career took him to Sunderland, Rochdale, Hartlepool, Spennymoor Town and Blyth Spartans.
Morpeth Town - Have we met before?
Just the two meeting between the Blues and the Highwaymen which took place last season. At home the Blues lost 0-1 to an agonising 84th minute goal, away from home a 1-1 draw where the Blues had a very late equaliser themselves from Adam Porter.
There were only 3 goals scored in the previous two meeting and going from the start that both teams have had, a low scoring affair may well be on the cards with an XG of 1.5.
