Dan returned to Leek Town for his second spell after being released by Port Vale in 2021. Dan started out on the books of Crewe Alexandra, securing a move to Liverpool aged just 16, before moving to America following his release from Anfield playing for Sacramento Republic. He initially joined in September 2018 with many impressive performances which earned him an offer of a professional contact at Port Vale in March 2019.
