Leek Town U15 girls first game finished with a 0-0 draw at back lane Congleton against a good Vale team.

Leek just about edged the first half against a strong Vale team. The defence for Leek held out well with solid play from the defensive 4 of Emma Smith, Charlotte Bromley, Isabel Wretham and Molly Shaw. Once the team found their rhythm Leek's midfield started to take over with Kirsty Ryder, Amber Stanway, Hannah Newman and Elise Skelding taking the game to the Vale. Alice Nadin put in some good work up front and had several shots at the Vale goal. Leek's goalkeeper Hannah Austin had to make a couple of good saves close to half time to deny the Vale forwards.

The second half started with all Leek pressure with Alice Nadin, Elise Skelding and Kirsty Ryder all going close with the Vale having to clear their goal line on a couple of occasions. Vale did come back into the game after that with Hannah Austin making a good save near to the end of the game to keep the score at 0-0

All in all an excellent performance from Leek who deserved at least the draw and probably should have won the game with the number of chances they had on the Vale goal.

Team: Hannah Austin, Emma Smith, Isabel Wretham, Charlotte Bromley, Molly Shaw, Kirsty Ryder, Amber Stanway, Elise Skelding, Hannah Newman, Alice Nadin.
