The game started very scrappy and 100 miles a hour , both teams having attacks and making mistakes , vale had the advantage in the scrum with a bigger pack and it was clear the game was going to be a forward battle as vale kept it tight with there forwards , leesbrook was on the back foot but defended solid and vale couldn't find any gaps , the first points was scored by Meden vale who kicked two penaltys to take the early lead , leesbrook re grouped and once on attack looked dangerous and with quick ball saw brook camped in the oppositions 22 , second row dan Staines then touched down a well worked maul for the first try of the match . The game was close with both sides sharing possession and having attacks , vale then scored a try but brook repled soon after with Sean room beating the defence running a great line inside the scrum half and outside the fullback to touch down under the posts . Vale replied with another penalty and took the lead going into half time .

Brook new they needed to play quick ball and keep the tempo up in the second half which they did but vale stood strong and the second half was similar to the first , both teams having attacks and both defending well vale scored then Kyle Percy scored a try and room converted the score line was 19-21 to vale going into the last 5 minutes leesbrook worked hard and won a penalty far out on the touch line and Sean room had a shot a goal and hit the post , vale cleared but brook was soon back on the attack and looking dangerous , brook worked right up to the opposition try line and the ball was span down the back line and Kyle Percy beat the defence and scored a great try and room converted . Leesbrook now 26-21 , the game re started and scrum half john Rogers was tripped over just before a clearance kick and a scrum was given , vale won the scrum then was on the attack winning a few penaltys and working into the brook 22 , brook then had a player sent off for bad discipline and vale worked hard and managed to score a try on last play to end the game as a draw , disappointing for leesbrook after working very hard to come back and go into the lead but a tight game .
