Update from the chairman

Dear Members and Supporters,
As the club continues to navigate its way through the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we would like to update you all on our progress and plans for the future.
In these uncertain times our priority remains the health and wellbeing of all our members, players,
staff, and supporters. We continue to follow government guidance to protect everyone at the club, and we hope you are all staying safe at home.
Please see the RFU article here - https://www.englandrugby.com/news/article/return-to-competitive- play-in-202021-delayed-until-january
We will continue to provide rugby sessions for our boys and girls every Sunday and Mid-week. Currently we are at Stage D on the RFU return to rugby roadmap, and will continue to work under these guidelines, unless we are otherwise advised.
The sessions on a Sunday will be fun filled. It is about getting the ball in hand to our players and giving them the opportunity to thrive and have fun.
There may be a bit of fitness thrown into the mix for the older age groups, but in general we want to ensure that everyone leaves the club smiling, having had a good time.
Also, further great news from Aaron Pike LFRFC head Coach – “The senior section of the club and 1st XV in particular, will be looking to engage with the Mini & juniors section moving forwards. With this in mind, some of the 1st XV will be available to link up to support all of the age groups in their training sessions.” – This means added value to our Sunday sessions
The Club has official’s covering COVID-19, who will be present on Sundays at the club, and will be assisting us all with ensuring everything we do is COVID compliant.
Additional measures which are in place

• Anyone entering indoors MUST wear a mask. If not, you will NOT be served and asked to put your mask on.
• Everyone entering the Club House MUST have actioned Track & Trace. NHS Track & Trace QR Codes will be located around the premises and you are urged to download the NHS App to be able to use these. Here is a link to the NHS app: https://www.nhs.uk/apps-library/nhs-
covid-19/
• The bar will be open offering a limited range of drinks for consumption outside. Table service will be provided by staff at the club.
• Food will be available to eat outside or at an available table.
• One-way systems are to be observed and adhered to.
• Please remember to social distance at all times and regularly use the hand sanitising stations.

• Please refrain from touching the rugby equipment if you are not involved with the training session.
• If you begin to feel unwell or start to show Covid-19 symptoms, then please inform a club official immediately and return home via the safest means possible with minimal contact with other people and areas of the club.
Obviously, things change with this virus, and we will update you when we have further news. It is a
changing landscape, so please bear with us.
We are hugely grateful for the ongoing support of our members and a brilliant group of volunteers who are ensuring the smooth running of the club for the community and players. A rugby club is only ever as good as its members and I would like to thank everyone who has supported the club over the last few months. Your support is paramount to this club and we are hoping to come out of this stronger as a community and as a Club.
As we begin to emerge from the current situation we’ll be looking to grow our pool of volunteers, to help in all areas of the club including general upkeep, helping at events, promoting the club as a venue for business, parties, functions & conferencing. I’d encourage anyone looking to help out to email Paul Clayton - Club Commercial Manager on piclayton@hotmail.com
Once again, we would like to thank you for your ongoing support, and look forward to seeing you all around the club.
Kind regards,
David Stockill & David Callaghan Chairman & Mini & Junior Chairman of Leicester Forest Rugby Football Club
