During the past few months we have had very little income. We took the decision to open the clubhouse daily in July to attract custom but we are just breaking even.

Apart from the effect on all the senior, mini and junior players being unable to play the game they love, Leigh RUFC has suffered a big impact financially over the past 6 months.

All those Birthday parties, Anniversaries and Christenings that were due to be held at the Club had to be cancelled. There have been little in the way of bar takings. All Community use in our clubhouse has been suspended and our big annual fundraising events have been cancelled.

Together with Crowdfunding and Sport England we have the opportunity, with your help, to raise much needed funds to get us through this crisis.

On 4th September our project went live, our objective is to raise at least £10,000 to qualify for matched funding of an additional £10,000 from Sport England to enable us to attain our £20,000 project target.

The project is to run for 8 weeks
