For the last 25 years women and girls from Leigh have been proving that ‘This Girl Can’, with an increasing number of females taking part in rugby union.
“It’s a very exciting time for Women and Girls Rugby Union, because there are now more opportunities than ever before for girls to excel in Union and progress through the pathway to represent their county and country in the future,” said Jude Downs
“We are an inclusive sport which has a place for everyone to be involved in the game. If you are looking for a sport to get involved in, I would fully recommend giving Rugby Union a go. It teaches our core values such as, Teamwork Respect. Enjoyment. Discipline and Sportsmanship. It builds your confidence and is a brilliant way to stay fit and active.”
