Depleted Bulldogs tame Lymm and close the gap on Wigan

On a chilly spring morning a skeleton eight man Bulldogs squad faced local rivals Wigan for the third time this season along with Lymm. The Bulldogs pride and spirit shone through.

In the first game of the morning Wigan proved to strong for Lymm.

The Bulldogs started brightly with Harrison G first to score following a mazy run from Harrison M. Taylor a guest player from Wigan extended the lead with a fine try before Lymm hit back immediately.

Harrison G added his second try following an excellent offload from Tyler. Leo scored next with a scything run as the Bulldogs dominated possession and territory backed up with some fierce defence.

The Bulldogs held out with no further score putting in excellent performance.

Another strong start saw the Bulldogs move up the field to put Harrison G in at the corner.

Wigan hit straight back from the kick off and added a second with the Bulldogs pinned on their own line. Wigan scored a length of the field try with the Bulldogs pressing and a fourth from the next play. The Bulldogs built good field position before Wigan broke away for their fifth try.

Wigan scored their final try as the referee brought the game to an end.

Coaches player of the day went to Oliver Dutton.
