Bulldogs go down to local rivals but overcome Bury in great performance

The Bulldogs finally got back to rugby for the first time in five weeks. On a blustery morning the Bulldogs faced tough opposition with some tenacious rugby played.

Game 1 v Bury A
The Bulldogs started brightly a break from Oliver D who fed Tyler which allowed Owen to find a gap and jink through for the first try.

Owen then set Isaac up for a brilliant run to double the lead.

Some free flowing rugby from the visitors moved them to within inches of the Bulldogs try line. Despite excellent defence Bury finally converted for their first try of the morning.

Leo immediately hit back taking on the Bury defence on the outside for a world class try before Harrison G extended the lead before the half time break.

Bury scored first after the break with a well worked try and soon followed this up with another two to bring the scores level.

Harrison Mac scored from the kick off after a great offload from Owen.

Isaac then extended the Bulldogs lead with a great team try and good rucking and off loading.

Sammy added a seventh stealing the ball in the ruck before diving over the line.

Harrison G added another try from close range before stealing the ball from the kick off to bag his hat trick and being the game to an end.

FT: 9-4

Game 2 v Tyldesley
The visitors scored directly from the kick off and with the Bulldogs defence sleeping, Tyldesley soon added two more.

The Bulldogs scored an excellent first try of the second half with Isaac scoring following a great off load from Harrison M.

Owen added a second before a blistering break from Ollie added a third.

Tyldesley scored next from close range before adding another two.

Ollie scored a final Bulldogs try to bring the game to an end.

Harrison G guesting for Bury levelled things up before the visitors added a second to go in front.
