Modern digital / online communication is all about instant messaging and direct engagement. LUFC recognises this and is adapting our communication strategy to accommodate modern trends.

As part of a developing plan to improve our outward communications from the club to players and families, we will implement a series of changes to how we provide information and promote opportunities for you to provide feedback.

The first component of this strategy is updating our website. LUFC has had a website since the very early days of the club, and we have always attempted to keep up with communication trends while accounting for FA Safeguarding rules and guidelines.

Our website has previously undergone updates and design changes; however, with this latest iteration, we have concentrated on making the site easier to navigate and compliant with mobile phone browsers. The information is organised more straightforwardly, and a search system has been implemented to help visitors find the information they seek.

Previously, we centred our club communication strategy around our website. However, this practice has changed with more constraints on what grassroots clubs can and cannot publish publicly. Also, there is a general trend towards using websites as a central repository of mostly static informational content, leaving interactive content to real-time communications such as online chat, video calling etc.
