If you have visited the club recently you will have seen that the old pitchside fencing has been replaced and there are new dugouts. Much of the preparation work for this was done by a small but regular group of volunteers to whom the club is extremely grateful. There has also been a lot of re-painting of various areas of the ground and again a genuine thank you to those painters. However, there is always an however, there is still a lot of work that needs doing around the club over the next few weeks in preparation for the pre-season games and the start of the league season. Much of what is required is not specialised work just hard work if there are only a few volunteers. Never has the saying "Many hands make light work" been more true so if you can help send your contact details to Peter Douglass (email@example.com) who will be in contact with you.
Mention of the new season means the need again for volunteers to assist on matchdays. We have lost valuable helpers from previous seasons and they need replacing. We always need more stewards but in addition we need someone to "man", "woman" "person" the club shop on 1st team matchdays. We need someone to operate the turnstile for Thurlow Nunn games. Contact as above if one of these is you.
