The team to watch out

As always much awaited Saturday arrived, a good forecast was perdicted but a light rain shower ensured a delay start to proceedings. LGCC won the toss and decided to bowl first looking at the slight damp wicket and unsure about the surface.

Arshad opened the bowling with Daud from the other end. Early wicket by Arshad in his 2nd over, a good length ball kept a little low got thier premier batsman who was looking dangerous.

Daud on the other side kept his usual length and bowled with a good rytham and line and length.

Then came in Hameed, the Man of the match bowled his usual mystory deliveries and kept the opposition guessing about his variations. He took 5 wickets to keep them struggling.

A wicket for Khawar sb and Usman to finish the proceedings and opposition were bowled out in 31 overs for 93 runs.

Usman and Ahmad opened the batting and looked comfortable, cracking boundry from Usman in 2nd over but was dimissed on the very next ball trying to repeat the previous shot. Then came in Nabil, looking bit nervous because of his last outing, got the unplayable very first ball and was back to pavilion, a long walk obviously. His miserable season with the bat continues!

Daud had to get ready in a hurry who was looking to relax a bit after bowling 5 overs. He went in a attacking mood and started scoring boundries with ease and looked in very good touch.

He and Ahmad had a good parternship and calmed the nerves. Ahmad was given LBW after scoring 22 and then came in Safeer who started bit shacky but looked to settled in while Daud was caught out on the boundry trying to send the ball out of the ground.

Fahim came in and scored a boundry on his favourite leg side and looked like a batsman to watch for the season.

A stylish leg glance from Safeer and only 4 runs to win, trying to finish in a style, he was bowled out which means Irfan has to come in and finish the proceedings.

Well played LGCC, a good start to the season so far.
