AROUND THE COUNTY - AWAY DAY IN VASE

United travel to Rainworth in the league whilst Lincolnshire sees it's 5 FA Vase sides all playing away in a bid to make round two of the competition.

Firstly the Conference Premier sides are in League action.Lincoln City face a tough trip to second placed Kidderminster Harriers whilst Grimsby Town will be looking for three points at home to Forest Green. Both clubs could do with three points.

In the Conference North Boston United are at home to Harrogate Town should they win they will not only stay in the play-off places but will also help Gainsborough Trinity who travel to Solihull Moors. Trinity are positioned just behind Harrogate.

It’s FA Trophy time again with Brigg Town travelling to Frickley Athletic who play in the Evo-Stik Premier Division. Grantham Town are at home to Soham Town Rangers who are in the bottom places in the Ryman League North Division. The Gingerbreads will be looking to make progress having lost at the first hurdle in the FA Cup. It was Stamford who beat them in that competition and they will start as favourites against Kidsgrove Athletic, who visit Ashby Avenue next Saturday in the league.

FA VASE
Harrowby United face a trip to Graham Street Prims who are sat in 7th place in the Eastern Midlands Counties Premier Division. Also in that league are St Andrews who host Lincoln Moorlands, it will be a tough task for the Moors. Cleethorpes Town are also on their travels, they go to Harborough Town who are rock bottom of the Chromasport United Counties League.
Remarkably Lincolnshire’s other two clubs playing in the First Round of the Vase are also away. Boston Town travel to Long Eaton United and Holbeach United travel to Blaby & Whetstone Athletic.
In the Northern Counties East Premier Division both Barton Town Old Boys and Winterton Rangers are at home, to Basford United and Maltby Main respectively.

In the NCE First Division manager-less Appleby Frodingham are at home to Louth Town. Grimsby Borough are at home to Worsborough Bridge and lastly third placed Bottesford Town travel to league leaders, Shaw Lane Aquaforce.

In the Chromasport United Counties League Premier Division Deeping Rangers who lost the league leadership in midweek to Spalding United have the chance to get it back when they entertain Long Buckby Spalding are in League Knockout Cup action to Olney Town who are mid-table in the UCL First Division.
In UCL First Division Bourne Town are at home to Northampton Spencer. Blackstones travel to Lutterworth.
