Acar joins 'The Whites' having spent the last two seasons at the coast but the young striker has plenty of experience within the Northern Premier League having played for both Grantham Town, Frickley Athletic and Spalding United, following his exit from Lincoln City FC.

After a good 1-0 win at home to Worksop Town, Wilkinson's feel good factor continued as Acar agreed to sign, the gaffer had this to say on his new signing. "Really pleased about this signing, we're tried to entice Cenk on a number of occasions during my time as manager and so I'm really pleased to see him in a White shirt finally.

We've looked to add a little bit of additional pace in the final third and I know, alongside his technical quality, he'll give a number of different attacking options, on top of the already very good ones we have. Cenk is very comfortable in most attacking positions and he's adaptable to formations too, so I'm sure he'll fit in nicely along with the other attackers we have here.

He's played a lot of games at this level and knows what's expected. I feel it's a perfect fit for both the player and the club, he can ensure that we have variety in our play and will support us with our ambition to continually improve on the pitch. It's great to see the ethos of the club being brought to life and attracting signings like Cenk and Kern the past couple of weeks, local Lincoln lads pulling on the shirt of Lincoln United FC".

Acar will go straight into Wilkinson's match-day squad against Brighouse Town this afternoon, 3pm KO at Ashby Avenue.
