Lincoln United Football Club are delighted to confirm that ex-Northampton Town and Spalding United goalkeeper, James Goff, has signed for the club this week.

Sam Wilkinson had this to say on his new signing,"Goffy is a technically good goalkeeper, signing from Spalding in order to strengthen our options and competition within the goalkeeping department at the club.

Having signed for Wisbech Town from Northampton before then moving onto Spalding United, Goffy has good experience at this level and I've no doubt he'll be looking to significantly add to that experience here.

The enthusiasm and character I've seen from James will really support our young squad and I'm sure he can make a big impact".

Ashby Avenue's newest shot-stopper had this to say on signing for 'The Whites'. "I'm over the moon to have signed for Lincoln United, from the conversation I had with Sam it was a no brainer for me to sign here.

I've met the lads and they seem a great group. I'm looking forward to getting stuck in and hopefully doing my part to help the team push on in the league".

Goff will go straight into today's match-day squad as 'The Whites' host north east club, Stocktown Town FC, 15:00 KO at Ashby Avenue.
