Lincoln United Football Club is delighted to announce that both Callum Foster and Tobias Liversidge have signed contracts keeping them at the club until May 2024.

Both 'Tobes' and 'Fozzy' have made over 50 appearances in a short space of time, both proving their importance to the team. As the vice-captain of the team, 'Fozzy' has proven how big an asset he is to 'The Whites'; his commanding presence and aerial threat, having acquired 4 league goals this season, alongside his leadership and commitment, are pivotal for United and only a number of characteristics and attributes as to why 'The Whites' are delighted to secure him until the end of the 2023-24 season.

Tobias joined the club at the start of last season and has developed exponentially in the last 18 months. One of the league's most exciting young forward players has 7 competitive goals this season and has been one of United's most consistent performers; drawing in plaudits from opponents throughout the first half of the season. At only 21 and local to our home, Ashby Avenue, we're delighted 'Tobes' has signed with the club for the next 18 months.

In further squad news, Simon Biggs has joined Newark Town Football Club on a month's loan after recently returning from injury.

Manager, Chris Funnell, had this to say on the recent news. "I'm naturally delighted to have 'Foz' and Toby committed to the club for the foreseeable future. Their performances, along with all the other lads, in recent months have been outstanding. A club like ours aren't in a position to have 10/11/12 players on contract, however, after working closely with our Director of Football, Sam Wilkinson, and the club's board, I'm delighted all agreed that it was a worthwhile investment.

Regarding 'Biggsy', he's had a tough 24 months. Recovering from a complete achilles snap during covid and then coming back last season, he had a setback in November, which has naturally had an impact on his place in the squad, given the run of the form the team has been on lately. I spoke with Simon and we agreed that it was the best thing for him to go and play minutes, which he will do at Newark. He'll continue to train with us so we can monitor his recovery and progress whilst playing regularly for Newark Town FC".

United next host North Shields, 24th Jan, 19:45 KO (H).
