Manager, Dave Frecklington takes a look forward to the Emirates FA Cup tie at Clipstone.

After tough Evo Stick away games at Rugby last Saturday and at Sheffield on Tuesday night we turn our attentions to the FA Cup away to Clipstone FC.

As we found out in the last round at South Normanton these teams cannot be taken lightly and they give absolutely everything in terms of effort and desire, and if we are not at it we will get dumped out the competition.

Clipstone have started life in the NECL Premier very well indeed and have had some fantastic results so we know we are in for a very tough game, they have some real quality in there squad too and they will want a scalp.

We trained well last night and everyone is under no illusion on how important the game is for all concerned.

We want a cup run and with that brings confidence and excitement and come 5pm we want to be in the hat, not only that we can earn another £3000 to add to the £2000 we already banked.

There has been movement within the squad, we welcome back big Tom Batchelor to add vital competition for places defensively. Tom is a great addition and a great lad but a very good player to boot.
Leaving the club are Sam Duncam, Scott Ruthven and Jason Field. All three have served the club well over the past year. I cant thank them enough for there hard work and commitment and I wish them well in the future.

However, I do think its important we keep improving and trying to keep the local talent coming through, we have two or three youth team players that could force there way in the reckoning and we want to nurture these promising talents and give them hope that there is a future in the 1st team if they do well.

Thanks for your continued support, see you tomorrow.
