I spoke with the Gaffer after the Whites' third defeat of the season against Goole Town.

Q. A disappointing performance after Saturday's win at Rainworth?

A. We had a good result on Saturday and I was expecting us to start well.

We didn't really get going and you can't build play when you are on the back foot and having to defend for your lives.

We had to abandon what we set out to do when I made the substitution.

We weathered the storm but couldn't cause them any real problems.

We had two or three half chances in the second half but never really looked like scoring.

We are just not ruthless enough at the moment.

Q. When is Andy Hutch ready to play?

A. We are not sure about Andy yet. We will have to assess his fitness on Thursday. His ankle is ok but his breathing is still a problem after his illness.

Hopefully he will be back but we will have to wait and see.

Q Big game this Saturday against Brigg in the FA Cup.

A. We are hoping for a good cup run and we expect a real battle on Saturday.

We need to kick-start our season.

Playing in the FA Cup is massive for any player.

It's also good financially for the club and I have stressed that to everyone.

A successful cup run will be a way of us putting something back into the club.

But we need to make things happen and be much more clinical and ruthless in our finishing.
